BLOGGED : NEW YEAR and a new DECADE

January 11, 2020

As I sit here and reflect over the last decade of writing and releasing songs as Stylusboy, I feel very grateful to be able to share my creative output with you. It warms my heart that so many of you connect with my songs. I have released 2 studio albums, 2 live albums and a covers album as well as 6 EPs!

I feel very fortunate to have played so many amazing gigs over the last ten years. From sell out gigs at the Green Note in London and Warwick Arts Centre in Coventry to some very unique (and maybe crazy) places like elevators and allotments. I have played my guitar all over! Some of my gig highlights have included the Big Comfy Bookshop, The Tin Music and Arts in Coventry and St Pancras Old Church in London as well as some incredible festivals like Greenbelt, Mosley Folk Festival, Godiva Festival and Warwick Folk Festival.

Being played on BBC 6 Music, Amazing Radio and numerous other radio shows alongside the support BBC Introducing have given me is brilliant. To be featured in major publications such as the Guardian online, Acoustic Magazine and loads of highly respected music blogs such a God is in the TV, is still something I find pretty astounding really. To know one of my songs was a number 1 in Indonesia is also rather mind-blowing! Sharing stages and supporting so many inspiring talents such as John Smith, Megson, Danny and Champions of the World, Lucy Ward and Polly Paulusma to name just a few has truly been a pleasure.

So it has been quite a decade. Thanks for joining me on the journey this far.
