Sadly during the start of February, I was still testing positive for Covid so it was a bit of an off start but thankfully I had very mild symptoms and felt ok in end. I am fully recovered now.

During the last few weeks, I have been on four visits for my songwriting project with Coventry City of Culture. I have been to see 4 older people who have shared so many memories and life experiences with me! I can’t wait to start writing the songs, although there is part of me that is slightly daunted that I can write good enough songs. I have a tight deadline and lots to do, but I am very much up for the creative challenge.
As part of the work I do out outside music, I work alongside a number of charities in Coventry including Coventry Foodbank. They really do amazing work around the city supporting people who haven’t got enough food. I dropped off some food that I had collected from different people.

Each month through the Community Connectors program with City of Culture I am taking part in different training sessions. We are learning about funding, project and budget management and working with different communities. It is really great and it is also lovely to hear how all the projects are going.
After recovering from Covid I am was glad to get back to running and some swimming again. I am really aiming to keep this exercise up a little more this year as it is good for me in so many ways.

I had a lovely meeting at The Herbert Art Gallery. The service of the team was amazing. It was super busy and the team working there were ran off their socks but still worked hard to serve everyone with a smile!
I thought I’d include an album or artist I have been listening to in these monthly blogs. Well, this month I have been listening to the Spell Songs new album. Wow, what a stunning group fo musicians this is and the song sends shivers down my spine. Check them out below….
