Thankfully not a scratch…

April 1, 2011

Last night i played a little low key gig for my friend Chris. Chris is the guy who recorded my new ep over the last few months and the gig was to launch an album that he has recorded with his friend. They are giving all the money made from CDs sales to a local charity and it’s a great fun record they have made.

Chris asked me if I would play as various people were going to play this gig to help celebrate and launch their album. Sadly the gig had to be moved from the original venue but actually the new venue (a local cricket club function room) worked very well for the evening.

So I arrived and sat down at the back and it was a great little audience of an older age group than I usually play too but I was looking forward to playing. Various people played before me including a great classical guitarist! I set my things up and played a short five song set which went down very well. People really listened and responded to the songs which was lovely. I sold a few copies of the fingerprint ep and put the money in the charity box. Stupidly I stood my guitar on a chair when I had finished and it completely fell off taking a picture off the wall in the process! Not good!!! Thankfully the guitar was fine, not even a scratch! Phew! Thanks to everyone I spoke to and for all the kind words about my songs! On to the phoenix on monday…
