FOUR THINGS I LIKED THIS WEEK 24.3.12 (@gibbandlucas, @jadehopcroft, @guardian, @TheHuxCapacitor and @ellenescapades)

March 24, 2012

1. DAVID GIBB AND ELLY LUCAS
(http://www.gibbandlucas.co.uk/)

I discovered this lovely folk duo this week via Twitter and someone’s Retweet. They are both brilliant musicians and play a range of traditional folk and songs they have written themselves. Both very creative people in their own right too. This is their lovely new video…

2. JADE HOPCROFT PHOTOGRAPHY
(http://www.jadeemmahopcroft.blogspot.co.uk/)

Jade is a very creative lady, both musically and through animation and photography. She is a singer songwriter from Brighton and had a wonderful voice. Her Blog is brilliant as she includes links to all the other creative things she does. This is an ink photographic image from the set she posted this week. Isn’t it brilliant?

3. THREE LITTLE PIGS GUARDIAN ADVERT.

I don’t really watch much TV at all, but I managed to catch this advert during the week. I love it…

4. THE CRYPT COVERS – HOPE AND SOCIAL and ELLEN AND THE ESCAPADES
(http://www.hopeandsocial.com/cryptcovers/)

I have known about these two bands for a while, in fact I saw Hope and Social at Greenbelt Festival last summer and really liked them. This is a brilliant idea and must take so much work but it is amazing! So here is the idea according to the Hope and Social website: “On the third Thursday of every month we will be joined in The Crypt by some of our very favorite artists. Together we will rise to the challenge of arranging, recording and producing a collaborative cover track, chosen by you, in just one day.” Here is the result when the wonderful Ellen and the Escapades joined them…
